Of all the animals in the world, birds have the most fascinating ways to impress their mates during the breeding season. From bizarre rituals to spectacular dances, birds definitely know how to impress their soul mates. But when it comes to some of the rarest bird species on Earth, things are nothing short of sensational.

In a heartwarming footage, filmmakers Paula and Michael Webster have managed to capture on camera a hooded grebes couple during their mating, and they haven’t been disappointed. A critically endangered species, the hooded grebes count less than a thousand individuals. The elusive birds live on the remote plateaus of Patagonia, which make them very difficult to spot. However, when the filmmakers decided to pay them a visit, they had the sweetest surprise.

The two are among the very few people on Earth that witnessed the hooded grebes mating ritual, and the first ones that caught on tape. The film, which Paula and Michael named Tango in the Wind (given that Argentina is the place where the tango was born) shows a hooded grebe female that finally found the love of her life. Shortly after the two birds met, they bring to life a fascinating dance of love.

“This world-first footage reveals the Hooded Grebe has a courtship dance as passionate as the tango,” Paula Webster said. You can watch the spectacular dance, here:

 A kid who has been bullied at school has found his genuine spirit animal.

The truth is, 7-year-old Madden from Oklahoma came into this world with a cleft lip and also heterochromia iridum (distinct color eyes), and some considered it could be amusing to tease the kid for his distinctive look.  

Fortunately, he found a way to handle the bullies. 

“We knew immediately that this kitty was meant to be part of our family. Not only does he have a cleft lip like our 7-year-old son Madden, he also has complete heterochromia iridum, like Madden. They were destined to be best friends. Funny how a pet can make you feel less alone.”  

 Madden discovering Moon truly appears like a miracle against all probabilities. 

 “Heterochromia iridum is when a part of the iris has at least two colors. Complete heterochromia iridum, where the eyes are completely different colors all together, is quite rare, existing in less than 1% of the population, I’m told. That plus the cleft lips is exceptionally rare.”    

“We’re usually not spontaneous people, but we knew that we were meant to love this kitty. Moon, the kitty, and Madden are the perfect companions for each other. In a word full of bullies and hateful words, we will choose to chase love. I think it’s safe to say that this kitty is love, and was certainly meant to be part of our journey and Madden’s journey.”

Jupiter is a Colombian Lion who became famous while residing at Rfamous Villa Lorena. He was rescued from the circus, where he was frequently abused and had his claws removed. 

 Zira, arguably the cutest half Corgi in the world, and Jesse, her owner went to Target for shopping, and she could not contain her happiness. 

Zira’s charming smile has gone viral, and it’s tearing Twitter down! Jesse, the dog owner, has this to say: “This was her second trip, although her first one she just slept the entire time. She reminded us so much of Rose from Titanic, the way she leaned against the front of the cart, looking out into the world of Target for the first time! We could tell she loved it so much.”  

The cute Corgi and Mini Aussie mix Zira has the habit of chewing anything she gets hold of, and she’s only four months old. “She loves getting new toys, ones that squeak, crinkle, or bounce. And since she’s our first dog, she gets spoiled as much as possible!”  

The viral photos of the Monterey, CA-based puppy, Zira on Twitter have amassed a whopping 487k and 127k retweets. Not only that, the shopping trip also got her some real love.  

“While we were turning a corner, this woman shopping saw her and freaked out,” shared Jesse. “She couldn’t stop going on and on about how cute Zira was. Zira just started licking her, and the woman loved it. She even picked Zira up and let her kiss her face!”

Turns out, Zira wasn’t the only cutie to enjoy a trip to Target: 

One man’s small mistake turned out to be the start of a new life for a misfortunate dog.  

When Jack Jokinen failed to close his front door properly one night, he went to bed completely unaware that he was setting off a chain of events that would result in him gaining a new family member.

The wind later blew the door open and provided a stray pup with the perfect opportunity to escape the cold.  

From the tape, they learned that later that night, a poor little dog had come wandering down the street and noticed that the family’s front door had been left open. 

In the video, the stray, later named Suzy, can be seen hesitating before making up her mind and venturing into the house.

She’s was soaking wet from the rain and cold to the bone. She curled up inside and was then discovered by Jokinen’s wife the next morning. 

The man looked inside and yelled to check that everything was okay, before pulling the door closed and continuing on his way.

The kind man had no way of knowing that he had accidentally made sure that Suzie could not get out of the house before the family woke up and discovered her. 

After finding Suzie and figuring out how she got there, Jokinen and his wife dried her off and slowly realized just how sick and in need she was.  

They’d initially considered handing her over to animal control but they were worried that she would not fare well in a shelter. 

Instead, they decided to take care of her and make sure she got the help she needed. They took her to the vet who revealed that she was nine years old and unchipped. 

She was diagnosed with dental issues, a paw infection, heart murmur, and a flea infestation. Poor Suzie was also so thin and malnourished that her ribs were showing. 

Jokinen and his wife decided to keep her and get her the treatment she required. After sharing Suzie’s story on social media, Jokinen received requests from multiple people to start a GoFundMe so that people could help Suzie.

Jokinen started a fundraiser for Suzie but stressed that even if no one donated anything, he and his wife would still make sure that Suzie got the help she needed. 

In the end, 15,000 dollars were raised towards Suzie’s medical bills. You can donate too via Jokinen’s PayPal and Venmo accounts. 

Suzie’s is now settling into her new life. She’s finally safe and cared for and is enjoying the love and affection she’s receiving from her new family. 

She loves her new cosy dog bed and her new brother George is sensitive to her needs and is giving her some space while she gets used to her new life. 

Suzie is slowly regaining her health and on her Instagram, her followers have already started to notice that she’s looking a lot healthier and happier. 

Thanks to a sloppily closed door, the senior pup is now able to live out her life in comfort, surrounded by a loving family.  

Jokinen and his wife adore their sweet new family member and count themselves lucky that something as unsafe as leaving their door open resulted in something so wonderful.
