Michael J. Fox reveals new, adorable pet dog named Blue: ‘Welcome to your new home!’

No matter who you are, there’s nothing like having a pet dog to come home to. Even the biggest celebrities in the world still rely on their dog’s love.

Now, one beloved actor has announced he has a new pet dog, and fans are loving the adorable photo of the two of them together.

Everybody loves Michael J. Fox. From his iconic performance as Marty McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy to his incredible work raising money for Parkinson’s research, he’s one of the most beloved and admired stars in the world.

He also loves dogs — and recently announced on social media that he has a new best friend.

“Hey Blue, welcome to your new home!” the actor wrote on Instagram, showing off his adorable puppy.

Many of Fox’s followers, including celebrities like Jennifer Grey and Juliana Margulies, commented on the post and congratulated Fox on his new dog.

“Oh my gosh!!! So cute,” wrote Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore.

Many people also pointed out that Blue looks a lot like Einstein, Doc Brown’s time-traveling pet dog in Back to the Future:

Fox previously owned a dog named Gus, who was very important to him. The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the 1990s, and said the dog was a source of love and support throughout his health battles.

“Your instinct when you have a chronic illness is to sometimes isolate and make your world as small as possible so you don’t have much to deal with, but a dog will open you up,” he told CBS News as part of their special The Pet Project.

He said his dog was especially crucial to him in 2018, when he underwent a surgery to have a tumor removed from his spine. “He kind of circles the wheelchair with this low kind of woof woof, woof woof, and sat in front of the wheelchair right in front of me, and looked at me, and I said, ‘It’s going to be okay.’”
Sadly, Gus died in 2021 at the age of 12. Fox remembered his beloved pet as a “great dog and loyal friend.”

It’s always heartbreaking when a beloved dog like that passes away, and nothing can really take their place, but we’re glad to see that Fox has opened up his heart to another dog.

We’re sure that Blue will also be a source of comfort and companionship for him through thick and thin. We’re so glad Michael J. Fox has a new dog!

They are adorable together and we know Blue will bring him a lot of happiness.

Mom defends putting her kid on a leash for safety

Several parents debate the best methods for raising their kids safely. From kid seats in automobiles to outlet covers in the home, parents will go to great lengths to protect their kids from damage and risk. However, one safety step has been widely disputed, and one mom speaks out in support of it.

Desiree Hoye has sparked debate after sharing images and testimonies about why she uses a backpack leash with her toddler. She begins her narrative by confessing that there was a time when she would say: before she became a mother, she would have declared that she would never put her kid on a leash, he’s not a dog!

However, as time passed, Hoye became aware of an emerging tendency in the news. Every year, we hear of new catastrophes that may have been prevented if young kids had not run away from their parents. She claims that over 2,000 kids go missing each day, from animal enclosure mishaps to abductions that may occur in seconds.

Given these dangers, Hoye wonders if parents and guardians can really fault her for seeking an extra layer of protection for her baby. She cites the proclivity of small kids to roam out on their own as well as the stress that comes with a missing child as more than enough justification to put her kid on a leash.

As Hoye stated that she had someone say to her, ‘Look at her putting her child on a leash…How awful.’”

Critics are concerned about whether harnesses are suitable for kids. Literally, there is no solid proof that kids have been harmed by correct harness use. However, there is no conclusive proof that harnesses and leashes reduce kid harm, making it a personal preference. Some opponents are worried about the psychological implications, particularly when kids detect suspicious eyes or equate leashes with dogs.

Even with the hazards, parents like Hoye believe leashes are worthwhile. Others’ furious glances or unpleasant words have no effect on their determination to go the additional mile to defend their kids. Hoye explained that she chose safety now and every day as she loves her kids more than anything else in the world. She’d rather get a few weird stares from outsiders than never see his sweet face again.

The decision to use or not use a kid leash is basically a personal one. However, if you are pondering child-leashes, here are a few things to think about.

Choose between harnesses and backpack leashes. Wrist or hand-hold leashes need kid participation, which might cause issues.

Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly. The proper usage of a harness or backpack reduces the chance of harm.

Check that the harness or backpack is correctly fitted. It should be neither too tight nor too loose to be pleasant or dependable.

Couple adopts 3 biological brothers under 4 so they can stay together

When I look back on my childhood, I remember only safety and love. From birth I was made aware of the fact that I was in a family who doted on me and wanted the absolute best.

Unfortunately, not all children have such security. Some grow up in shelters and adoption homes, no knowing the joys of a real family to call their own. Fortunately, three brothers will know exactly that this Christmas, having been adopted by KC and Lena Currie of Sudbury, Massachusetts..

On November 23 of this year – coincidentally National Adoption Day – Joey, 3, Logan, 2, and Noah, 1, who are biological brothers, got to settle into their new forever home together.

KC and Lena’s journey in adoptive parenthood began one year ago, when they legally adopted Joey (who was two at the time). As per Good Morning America, KC and Lena first spotted Joey at an event sponsored by Children’s Friend.

Adoption process

“We saw a picture of Joey and Children’s Friend mentioned [it] would be a good match,” Lena explained. “He was 18 months old at the time.” They ended up adopting little Joey in March. But that was just the beginning.

The Curries soon received a call from Children’s Friend telling that Joey had a 6-week-old brother, Noah, who needed a home too. KC and Lena took no time at all to say yes, only to then learn that there was a third brother, Logan, whose adoption into another family had fallen through.

The Curries took that as a sign that someone was trying to tell them something.

Just one month after letting Noah into their home, Logan, too, joined his brothers. “It was our gut feeling,” KC told GMA. “We were going to end up saying yes because keeping the brothers together was really important to us. When they’re older and have questions, they’ll have each other to lean on and experience that ride together.”

Of course, becoming parents to three kids under the age of 4 has been no walk in the park, but KC and Lena have done a remarkable thing in accepting responsibility for these brothers. Not only will Joey, Logan, and Noah now grow up together, but they’ll benefit from the immeasurable gift of being in a loving family.

“It’s the first year and first holiday where it’s all permanent and true,” Lena said. “Now we can start dreaming about grade school, sports, and all those fun things,” added KC.

Wow, what an inspiring story! And certainly one that’s bringing tears to my eyes.
