A 500-pound lion named Bonedigger is best friends with Milo, a Dachshund. Bonedigger first met Milo and three other Dachshund puppies several years ago when he was just 4 weeks old.

The puppies seemed to instinctively know that Bonnedigger was mildly disabled (he suffers from a metabolic bone disease) - and they wanted to protect him, according to Joe Schreibvogel of the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood - Oklahoma.

After receiving permission from UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, the guy has been working hard to get his crew and rescue animals out of Afghanistan, but it hasn’t been easy.

Following the fall of the Afghan government, the man began “Operation Ark,” a drive to try to safely transport his crew, as well as 200 cats and dogs, out of the country.

According to iNews, Pen said: 

“I need to get them out of here as soon as possible. I’m not going to abandon them.

Everyone is scared of what the future holds, even myself.” The father was in a frantic race against time to save himself, his 25 Afghan employees, and over 200 animals, fearful that if they couldn’t be evacuated, militants would kidnap his staff’s teenage children. 

Pen tried to gather about $200,000 to pay for a cargo jet and go to the United Kingdom. However, he needed to go through a number of legal hoops in order to get Afghan staff into the country. 

Pen confirms that everything is indeed awful, and he also expresses his dissatisfaction with his country’s administration, believing that everything he has battled for in the past has been in vain.

Pen recalls arriving in Nowzad in 2006, and right there, in the middle of a quarrel, she met a dog who became her companion and whom she called Nowzad; the charity was established as a result of this touching incident.

Pen also added:

“We’ll have to part ways. There isn’t any other choice, unfortunately. There are 140 dogs and only 65 slots in my kennel. Some of the older and more wounded pets will have to be put down.”

Pen had given up transporting her animals and workers out of the nation for a while owing to a decision by US President Joe Biden, who modified the regulations of who could enter the airfield, he claimed in an interview with the BBC.

There’s nothing I can do about it. My staff has informed me that it is time for me to go. They do not believe that a foreigner is welcome in their country. I’ve been instructed to bring as many cats and dogs as possible by the staff. But I can’t get them through the Taliban checkpoints anymore.”

Following this dramatic scenario and the passage of time, the Nowzad charity announced that Pen, together with the rescued animals, was ultimately safe outside of Kabul. He was, however, compelled to quit his team.

On his Facebook page, Nowzad wrote:

“We are relieved to report that Pen and the Nowzad animals have safely exited Afghanistan.” However, we still have a lot of work to do because our fantastic Kabul team was not permitted to pass the last checkpoint.”

 A kid who has been bullied at school has found his genuine spirit animal.

The truth is, 7-year-old Madden from Oklahoma came into this world with a cleft lip and also heterochromia iridum (distinct color eyes), and some considered it could be amusing to tease the kid for his distinctive look.  

Fortunately, he found a way to handle the bullies. 

 Madden discovering Moon truly appears like a miracle against all probabilities. 

 “Heterochromia iridum is when a part of the iris has at least two colors. Complete heterochromia iridum, where the eyes are completely different colors all together, is quite rare, existing in less than 1% of the population, I’m told. That plus the cleft lips is exceptionally rare.”    

“We’re usually not spontaneous people, but we knew that we were meant to love this kitty. Moon, the kitty, and Madden are the perfect companions for each other. In a word full of bullies and hateful words, we will choose to chase love. I think it’s safe to say that this kitty is love, and was certainly meant to be part of our journey and Madden’s journey.”

 An orphaned baby kangaroo is winning the hearts of the Internet after a video of the joey hopping head-first inside a cop’s tshirt was posted online.

The 4-month-old joey named Cujoe was orphaned after his mother was killed in Western Australia.

He was pulled from his mother’s pouch and handed over to police in the small town of Cue, several hundred miles northeast of Perth.

Constable Scott Mason, who’s just become a father himself, is looking after the baby ‘roo.

Meet Lili (grey) and Renley (ginger) – two adorable kittens that can’t stop snuggling in their favorite spot – a bed perched on top of a cat condo.

Ever since they were adopted, this bed was their favorite napping spot. Now that they’ve gotten bigger, they’ve obviously outgrown their beloved cuddle bed, but that doesn’t stop them! They can still squeeze in and cuddle. “Renley is usually the boss, so when he wants to cuddle – they cuddle.

When he was little he used to meow and look for Lili if she wasn’t in the same room,” the kitties’ owner told Bored Panda. How cute!

 Zira, arguably the cutest half Corgi in the world, and Jesse, her owner went to Target for shopping, and she could not contain her happiness. 

Zira’s charming smile has gone viral, and it’s tearing Twitter down! Jesse, the dog owner, has this to say: “This was her second trip, although her first one she just slept the entire time. She reminded us so much of Rose from Titanic, the way she leaned against the front of the cart, looking out into the world of Target for the first time! We could tell she loved it so much.”  

The cute Corgi and Mini Aussie mix Zira has the habit of chewing anything she gets hold of, and she’s only four months old. “She loves getting new toys, ones that squeak, crinkle, or bounce. And since she’s our first dog, she gets spoiled as much as possible!”  

The viral photos of the Monterey, CA-based puppy, Zira on Twitter have amassed a whopping 487k and 127k retweets. Not only that, the shopping trip also got her some real love.  

“While we were turning a corner, this woman shopping saw her and freaked out,” shared Jesse. “She couldn’t stop going on and on about how cute Zira was. Zira just started licking her, and the woman loved it. She even picked Zira up and let her kiss her face!”
