Officer responds to routine contact and ends up falling in love with small puppy
This Florida police officer never anticipated finding a new best buddy when he responded to a routine call. But the loving cop and the cute puppy he met fell in love at first sight. He only had to briefly take him into his arms in order to keep him there. Now, the two cannot be separated!
Officer Marcus Montgomery of the Fort Walton Beach Police Department was called to the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), a nearby shelter, to manage a dispute between the latter and a former worker. But he had no idea that by the end of the day, he would have a new furry companion.
We had a 20-minute conversation while the officer was wrapping up his probe, according to BuzzFeed. “While I was still talking to the head of PAWS, one of the supervisors went outside. When she returned, she had this tiny puppy in her arms. His eyelids were heavy, and he yawned nonstop, so you knew he had been sleeping.
“When the supervisor brought him in, I just looked into his eyes as he yawned at me and told the supervisor, “Don’t bring him in here, because I will take him home right now,” “Montgomery said.
Once he brought him home, everyone, including his other dog Vader and police detective Montgomery, fell in love with the adorable Kylo. Vader, our other rescue dog, enjoys meeting new dogs and playing with them, so me and my girlfriend have wanted another dog for a very long time, he said. Unfortunately, we were aware that Kylo, even at his age, would be ignored by those who did not want to take on the burden that comes with caring for a dog of his caliber.
